so, electricmole erectricmole is a duo, neither of whose members i’ve seen around this sphere so far.

★ tamayura. yeah i can tell that flawless world has an atmosphere about it
★★ nekoyanagi. this reminds me of something i listened to recently (maybe an advantage Lucy track?), but either way i love it
minamo: rain rain go away club mix. though dammit all of these long instruments have their attacks delayed!
★ kouwa
★★ doukei!
★ i don’t know if i like yukigouri or not – it’s weirdly dissonant in its loop that it refuses to escape – but it’s interesting for that too.
★★ ukigumo
★ yurikago has an annoying violin but i like the melody

and so, alongside Misswonda – In Flawless (2011), those are the two physical releases by flawless world!
the rest seem to be digital releases (the DR in FWDR), and i’m led to assume that this was his primary reason for sunsetting Usagi-Chang Records and starting another label.
because pressing and distributing discs is annoying, you know? you have to find a company to press the discs – they seem to have gone with infodisc – then either find someone to distribute them or do that yourself, start courting relationships with storefronts, etcetera etcetera. that was just how you had to do it; there were no digital storefronts like there are now.
…until there was, and mp3s became ubiquitous, and suddenly there was a demand for digital in a way that there really wasn’t before. which, as a label, is great! you can get your music out there in a sellable format while cutting out the most annoying logistical steps! and, for those super special albums which you think are worth releasing physically, you can just partner with someone else and let them handle the dirty work.

(…and hope to god that they print enough because holy shit discogs now has in flawless being sold for $288?!)
