Log
2024-05-01 future
wow, now even the actual albums themselves are presented like automated ambient playlists…
★ now i remember
★ sesame street
★ the living room
★★ the beach
★★ moonstation. you know that one, right? from childhood?
(i actually do… and so far this feels the closest to a place i would’ve been) (like cosi!)
(or, maybe it works because this was never a place i would’ve actually been, like a living room or an office. but this evokes what other media evokes as a place that i will be one day, or that humanity will be one day)
(unlike the mundane future i’m living in, where i fall asleep to flashing lights connecting me to a global network and the scrape-scrape of eight hard disk platters)
(so maybe it’s on me to create the future-feeling that i want)
★ the phantom ship
★ the red room. i know he’s trying to make these progressively darker and more ominous, but it’s not really coming through here. maybe because even these tracks are just oscillating between two chords? and, i swear you can do better. i know you can find it in your heart to break this paradigm.
